Muslim Resources

Our biggest struggle in creating the Muslim resources was locating books about American Muslim teenagers dealing with everyday issues. So many of the titles are about Muslim teens in other places such as Afghanistan or Egypt and while these are great books that deserve and audience, we think that there also needs to be books available for teens in the US that reflect their lives.

There is definitely a gap in YA literature when it comes to book about Muslim teens. It would be nice to see more books about Muslim teens living in the US and dealing with issues specific to them. Books that are similar to those that are available for Christian teens.

It is our hope that as YA literature expands and grows, more authors and publishers will choose to create books for these teens. We believe that it is entirely possible and cannot happen too soon.
